The D.O.V.E. Fund Projects
The D.O.V.E. Fund is a non-profit organization, founded in 2000, whose goal is to provide humanitarian and development assistance to the impoverished areas of Vietnam. The D.O.V.E. Fund wants to promote communication, education and cultural exchanges that reflect the best qualities of both the Vietnamese and American cultures, as well as, to create an environment brightened by hope and sustained by peace. Many of the projects that we focus on include:
• Schools and Scholarships
• Clinics and medical assistance
• Braille technology for blind children
• English lauguage classes
• Industrial sewing machines
• Micro-financing
• Fresh water projects
• Computers
• Latrines
Our main main is creating these projects for vietnam is to provide humanitarian and development assistance to areas of Vietnam. To promote communication and cultural exchanges that reflect the best qualities of both cultures. To create an environment brightened by hope and sustained by peace. The D.O.V.E. Fund has many projects that are in various stages of completion and funding.
The D.O.V.E. Fund's Current Projects
In 2008, the D.O.V.E. Fund partnered with Vietnam Veteran Lanny Saumer of River Falls, Wisconsin to help build an elementary school in Quang Tri province. Saumer has rallied students at Meyer Middle School in River Falls to generate the funding for this project. Students have worked tirelessly for over 3 years to raise over $16,000 for the new Vietnam Sister School Project which will house over 150 students.
